This is good. Capitalism runs the risk of killing itself by radicalising young socialists, rather than co-opting them. A bit simplistic maybe but massively frustrating if you're in a western country that stubbornly refuses to learn any useful lessons.

    • The US could never adopt a Nordic model. Even if they tried it would take generations to fix. A good chunk of the US is just too simple minded.PhanLo
    • What is scary is the idea that quite moderate left of centre views are now considered radical. Look how Corbyn's proposed raise of corporation tax is still wayfadein11
    • < lol the Nordic model is capitalist (easy to start a business). With a large social net (high taxes).Hayoth
    • lower than France and Germany Scary how well the media works for it's masters in

    • Cure for young socialists is that most grow out of it. The hypothetical world of campus (which is great for pedagogy) is far, far different from the real world.BustySaintClaire
    • they need something to grow up into though. Conservatism is currently a dead end, ideas-wise. There's no future in it.Fax_Benson
    • tbh i'm not sure hayoth or busty read the article, taxes aren't actually that higher, and the importance of socialist values under capitalism - both covered.kingsteven
