    I personally love PowerPoint.

It's allowed me to easily find well-paid work, make cool stuff and because all you design snobs refuse to touch it, I can earn as much as an art director sitting at home in my undies.

And seriously, it can be a pain but it can also be awesome as long as you create the assets in Adobe and treat it as a playout platform rather than a creation platform.

Just don't fucking try to embed fonts or create a template unless you really know what you're doing. Fucking nightmare! That said, name another program that you can do this with easily.

..and Word can burn in the bowels of hell

    • Do you create the text in Adobe or on PP?Beeswax
    • good for you. i'd rather stick pins in my eyes than deal with powerpointhans_glib
    • Text: Always in PPT. *With fonts installed.
OR: titles etc. as images and body copy in Arial / Century Gothic

    • I loathe Powerpoint, but good for you. The next time I get a Powerpoint project I should hire you.utopian
    • BTW - Keynote is significantly better then PPT on every conceivable level. And then once I'm done, if the client insists on it being PPT I convert it to PPT.utopian
    • Well done. Sure I could earn five times design-snob money being a lawyer, but sod that too.MrT
    • The worst thing about PP isn't how horrible is it to use with featured buried in submenus. It's that it's a saleman's tool. If you do this work, you have to useCyBrainX
    • Windows system fonts because whoever you're giving this to is going to edit and they don't have nice fonts. They're also going to shit all over your formattingCyBrainX
    • and add photos that will be stretched disproportionately. These samples look great because of the well designed graphics done in 3D.CyBrainX
