    FNP14,

I saw my doctor for a physical today and talked about the anxiety I've been having and how addicted I am to news and information and keeping up with politics. She didn't have a solution for how to disconnect from it, but suggested meditation to at least help get my nerves down to a more manageable level, so that political stress doesn't always put me over the edge.

Fact is, I just don't know how to not care to the degree I do. I feel like if I were to miss a day of news and staying on top of stuff, I'd be behind. I envy people who can avoid it all, but if I were to be that person I feel like I'd become the political apathy I rail about so much these days.
