What's with this growing trend on LinkedIn of people in tech / XD / design / product or agency world writing long-winded look-at-me posts about the new job they accepted, why they accepted it, what moved them about it, why they're so excited posts to tell everyone they got a new job?

Just the same, what's with the ultra-hyperbolic "here's everything I learned, gained, grew, did, etc. at the job I'm leaving that I wouldn't be the same without" multi-paragraph posts when they're leaving a job?

Have any of you seen this in the wild? I find it frequently from those who have accepted a new UX job, and often in people very junior or just starting out.

    • That shitpost is worth about $5k to $10k in salary. For $5k, I'll happily make a shitpost. Especially when no one I care about would even notice nor care.
