- this happened to my fam & it financially touched every single one of us. My dad had great insurance and my sister was a firefighter's wife w/the best insurance.shellie
- 10 years later, I'm just about to pay the rest of the debt off next month. my father, in the end, just stopped treatment to spare us any more debt.shellie

- You know propaganda is effective when mindless qbners cling to their communism and fascism for fake social media posts.Hayoth
- lol Hayoth, go back to /r/iamverysmartdorf
- that is life. care costs money. instead of focusing on care, and the culture of keeping loved ones alive, despite the fact we really dont want to visit them********
- just want certain ideas of living, and that unlimited care dramatically increases costs. if X doesnt pay doesn't mean no one pays********
- without a doubt our perception of aging and healthcare system would be so much better off without medicare/medicaid********
- for the single payer advocates if you'd like i'd say fine and go bernie and open medicare too all but cap it at 15% gdp and get rid of other programs.********
- more generous than canada and still i know how so many will get no treatment due to lack of funding.********
- i hate how the majority of healthcare is focused on end of life patients that they can write blank checks for and keep alive********
- even if full of dementia or senility. i think we need to rethink the ways we approach end of life********
- dare i say death panels... wont be death panels privatized as loved ones, but better loved ones********
- or at least let people feel the full responsibility of tons of drugs that keep meat sacs alive. dont rely on others********
- current ideas only add to the problem. need to look at it differently********
- With May planning to sell the NHS to the US as soon as possible I fear this will be the future of the UK too - having to pay for healthcare.microkorg
- Long live the healthcare system. Being lucky to live in The Netherlandsmilfhunter
- Deathly will be driving the euthanasia mobile with the bolt gun for the elderly.PhanLo
- Maybe they could do some Starship Troopers style ads to encourage sick elderly people to kill themselves for the greater good?PhanLo
- Regardless of insurance, the question I keep asking is WHY IS MEDICAL CARE SO RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE? A night in a hospital is $40K!stoplying
- $1900 a month? Hope I get $1900 per month.tgqt
- COBRA is an anachronism and no one should ever use it. Guy could have saved a lot of money with a different plan or just Medicare if his wife was over 65sarahfailin
- Lucky of living in poor EUOBBTKN
