At the studios where I work there's a girl who I guessed straight away is at least a little bit lesbian. Ok, so fuck, no one cares. But she's the sort of woman who reacts disapprovingly any time a male casts a glance her way, intended or otherwise. Instant sourness: 'ok, fuckme - sorry?'.
It turns out she's slept with a friend of mine - a male one. I found this out when he said that she wouldn't serve him at the bar, so he was having to ask people to buy his drinks for him whilst she was on shift. fucking lol.
Now, my male friend here is a filthy French bastard - clearly a louche motherfucker. I mean, he's like a coke-snorting, heavy-drinking chef version of Remi Gualliard - an over-grown boy; a total chancer.
We all love (/loathe) him, and he's fundamentally an alright bloke - but he's more fundamentally a broken slut who would fuck anything with a pulse. It's categorically obvious what sort of a guy he is.
So this daft bint sleeps with the absolute worst example of masculinity from her perspective and... lo and fucking behold, doesn't manage to reprogram him, doesn't bend him to her wont, does suffer the only fate that she should've ever reasonably expected - he'd had his way and fucked off. Game over.
So now the cycle of hatred is cranked and spun, her worst suspicions about maledom confirmed once again.
But I can only think - girl, what the fuck's wrong with your radar? You got everything you ever should've expected, and no more. Silly, naive girl.

Anyway, I write this here as I wonder if certain people are destined to seek out in opposites traits they actually despise. The sharpness of their perception blunted by their own conceits and inability to see beyond themselves and their own limitations. Hey, we all have them.
I write this in reference to certain displays of misogyny on QBN.
Not all women are the same. Not all women are bad. Not all women are virgin angels sent forth to simply Be, Perfectly.
If you ever find yourself criticising an entire gender for gender's sake, perhaps you should question yourself, not them?
