A friend of mine was late for a boat on holiday in France and somehow managed to crush her foot under the draw bridge type thing that you walk on to the boat via. They threw it down for get last minute but she was about to jump. Hard to picture how it happened exactly but sadly it did.
Anyway, have just heard this morning that it's so bad they're going to have to amputate her big toe and the toe next to it. Fucking brutal. Feeling really rather emotional right now, and to think I was stressing the other day over losing a pair of sunglasses.
Treasure what you have, you glorious cunts.
- Losing a big toe is serious - it is the balance point for your foot - without you can't walk properly. People have a thumb transplanted as a replacement.face_melter

- Faaaack, that's gotta hurt. I stub my toe and turn into a 4 y/o. Yeah, I've seen the transplanted thumb thing on Vice or something.fyoucher1

- I'd rather have a thumb than a big toe I think********
- Hopefully there's a prosthetic to keep balancepinkfloyd
- If this was a dude it wouldn't take 3 weeks and the 'stubby' nicknames would start rolling in... regardless... sorry 'bout your friend's tootsie. :(PonyBoy
- Thats horrible. Hope she's in good hands (no pun intended) and everything goes as well as it can.mugwart

- Well ya we all treasure our toes when we think about it, but sometimes it's good to be reminded to appreciate everything we have. Puts things in to perspective********
