I was just there for the first time about 3 weeks ago, as you may have read in the other thread.

The ethnic food looked amazing! I wish I could have tried more, but I was traveling with a couple of very picky eaters.

Also, the city is freakin' massive! I knew it was big, but I wasn't prepared to walk for miles and still be surrounded by high-rise buildings.

Buying beer was a bit of challenge, coming from what I'm used to in California. Only certain shops are allowed to sell alcohol, and they close early so plan accordingly.

We had an airbnb on the top floor of a high-rise apartment complex near the corner of King St. and Portland St. The highlight of the trip for me was sitting out on our balcony at night, having beers and just looking out at the city.

    • to find beer punch LCBO or Beer Store in your maps app.Centigrade
    • beer buying difficulties? disappoint. Thanks though, will keep in mind.Fax_Benson
    • I went out at around 9pm or 10pm in search of beer. There wasn't anywhere super close and all of those LCBO places were closed.nocomply
    • There are tons of bars, but I wanted to have a couple cold ones and just chill at our AirBnB. This would've been a non-issue at home. Call me culture shocked.nocomply
    • Yeah, it took me three days. All the beer stores are underground at basement level too.Fax_Benson
