Bumping this thread... looking for recommendations for some new hiking boots.
- Huh, I didn't respond to this thread last time - I always (always) recommend Scarpa in these sort of threads.detritus
- backpacker magazine and many others these days are recommending hiking shoes vs boots. all brands are different fits. find one at a good outfitter and it'sjaylarson
- likely their quality is for lifejaylarson
- for fairweather hiking on groomed trails, trail-runners are great. For talus/scree (rocks), get a heavy boot with a stiff shank.monNom
