- When I was about 8 or so I had to write one of those "What I wanted to be when I grew up" stories. Mine was about wanting to become an astronaut.GM278
- My mother being completely abusive, ripped it up and told me I needed to write about becoming a doctor...to which I started balling....GM278
- My father somehow knew Senator Glenn through a work associate and got him on the phone. I remember him telling me how I needed to study and get good marks inGM278
- mathematics and science. A few days later I received a bunch of kids books on space travel that he signed for me.GM278
