at first I was like "man, my post is getting buried in the politics section because of how frequently ppl post there."
then I saw what comments my post garnered. yeah, no point in posting there anymore.
...it's great to keep the political discussion curtailed to a single thread, but it'd be even greater if we could just have a reasonable discussion about politics.
- "reasonable"
practically impossible given the candidates / circumstances. oh, you mean...imbecile - agreed. what are you suggesting? id love to see it in Socratic type format. over all if we follow rules of an organized debate competition maybe the best way.yurimon
- "reasonable" —practically impossible given some of the people attempting a discussion here on QBNPonyBoy
- I think it's really hard to discuss politics due to commitment regardless on what intellectual level the conversation is going.********
- the most interesting for me is that none of the discussions goes beyond the daily actions and moves to the bigger picture about the political campaign tactics.********
- I love the debate format idea the problem is nobody is willing to admit their position is wrong even when presented with facts.Hayoth

- sted is right about the bigger picture and over all a debate format requires research of both sides for an argument. it would work if both sides take it seriousyurimon
