    In March, you'll find late season skiing and snow in Nelson/Fernie/Whistler. Something like the picture you posted above is more likely later May to June at higher elevations. If you stay near the coast you might find snow-free, but cooler temps.

    You might also look at cabins on Bowen island or in Gibsons/Sechelt, though both are on the coast. Squamish is nice for access to hikes, but most will be under snow in march.
