  'uncool' jobs can be a great place to grow and hone your craft.(not always )
  'cool' jobs can be a total career dead-end. (not always )

  You never really know until you get in there and start producing. If you've got a lot of latitude to explore ideas and produce a lot of work, you'll may be way more happy at the 'uncool' job, rather than tweaking the kerning on someone else's ideas for a few years.
