To clarify "there is more": the logo is not in line with the design. It's fiddly, messy and the text "by google" is too small and (arguably) pointless. The advanced "Show search options" and "Create a filter" are too close and too small, so they're difficult to click (Fitt's law in interaction). Now that's a spot where white space could have been useful ;-)
