    No lights at all? Sounds more like the primary coil in the power transformer was damaged. Unstable household current often surges, and the windings are a very small gauge. If you have one around the house of comparable voltage and amperage, you could try using it to see if that's the problem.

    • from my experience it's the power supply about 1% of the time... and you need to match up tip, voltage and amps, so be careful :)BuddhaHat

    • Yup, you'd need a positive center lead, but if you have a matched transformer it's worth a try. ^5ZOOP
