It wd be great if the cheerleaders and fanboys on either side of the 'debate' just let it go, this kind of stuff is redundant and tiresome.
So the Bible is full of contradictions, so what? It's also full of carnage, suffering, poetry and genuine yearning. You could find holes in any religion if you want to take everything that's ever been said about (or by) them literally. That's not the point (& I'm not religious btw)
If you read the Origin of Species it manages to contradict itself too — sometimes on the same page. Big deal, both it and the Bible, in their different ways, beautiful texts.
