    This question makes no sense.

    Both types are LCD's. The LEDs are for backlight vs. a CFL tube.
    LEDs are less power hungry for laptops, but are also more succeptible to heat so they may fail faster than CFL depending on enclosure. Both can leak light as they both use a prism to spread light across the surface of the LCDmonitor.

    R/G/B LED matices should allow for better colour temp adjustment due to individual control of component colours. High-end NEC monitors (on probably others) use this tech. I believe most consumer models use white LEDs which drift in colour temp over their life.

    In general LED is a marketing buzzword when it comes to monitors.
    Much more important is panel type, with the ACD monitors using high-quality IPS panels. THAT is why they look great.
