  What Ruffian said, but it won't sync your playlists or library file, just the audio files. Unless I'm doing something wrong, which is possible, my wife and I share a common iTunes folder where the audio data is stored but just because I buy a new song doesn't mean it'll show up unless she goes File > Open > and select the iTunes folder. It'll trawl through the whole directory and add anything new. A little clunky but it works OK.

  • just share the library through one machine. that machine will appear on the right and be always up to date.airey
  • you can also share a library on a network drive. just hold down option when starting up itunes.ephix
  • I guess I should clarify that we don't want the same library. We uncheck different music and we have different podcasts.welded
