    I think coming from AZ you'll find LA a little easier to adapt to.

    One thing about SF is that I think a lot of jobs might be outside of the city and in Silicon Valley/San Jose. I'm guessing the jobs that are actually in SF have a lot of competition, but I have no way of really knowing other than a few friends of mine who work there have lost their jobs or been downsized in the past year or two.

    I do agree that in general you'll find renting a place in SF more expensive than LA, but don't let that alone influence your decision. If you're going to actually make the move, go for the city that you think will fit you and your lifestyle the best.

    People give LA such a bad rap, but there really are some redeeming qualities about it. It's so big that there is a place and a scene for everyone to fit in. But if you do wind up working in the entertainment industry, you might wind up living in Burbank which IMO is kind of a drag. Commuting across the city is a phenomenal bitch so it'll be good to live close to where you work.

    Disclaimer: I've never lived in either city, but have friends who live in both and have visited each many times.
