    I see nothing wrong with .NET. I used to use PHP and .NET but decided to switch to .NET. There are hosting companies that support PHP/mySQL on Windows hosting packages:

    www.register365.com/ - I use it but don't recommend it (control panel is a joke)
    www.blacknight.com - easy to use parallels hosting control panel

    What you could do is a hybrid solution - domain and subdomain setup - one is using .net on windows package, second is using linux/unix package (and vice versa)

    • But why complicate a project over developer preference? Sounds like he's a contractor, so find another one.ETM
    • He's limiting his options and increasing costs over, what seems, an unnecessary decision,ETM
