Looks like a bad template portfolio. I really think you should wireframe before starting on your design to think about heirarchy relating to typeface and use of colour, less is more, and having flashy buttons is not important, your work is so showcase that in a better way, learn about grids and structure.
You could of course get work with this folio, but the level and quality of the projects may not be what your expecting, if you want to work in KallKwick style quick design/photocopier shop then your spot on!
