    pull off the foamy padding bits from the inside (usually stuck in with velcro), throw in some warm soapy water to soak. After soaking a bit, scrunch them in your hands to pump water through them and get the grim/oils/salts out.

    Rinse the salts off the styrofoam shell with lukewarm water. Try not to get soap on the foam, as there may be some chemicals that don't play well with it.

    Rinse nylon straps in warm water, rub dish soap into them with fingers then rinse until they feel clean.

    Put back together and let air dry. Should take about 5mins once you get the hang of it.
