^ because many developers and companies, for that matter have tons of apps, games, and full-on libraries and API's that have already been written, and resources/assets that have been created specifically for them. i don't know if you guys ever took an economics course, but it's *profitable* to be able to take what you have and port it to another platform with little to no effort so you can begin working on new things. it has nothing to do with learning obj-c.

you guys sound like you don't even work in the same industry. what if your employer wanted to take 10 websites and port them as a cocoa app to the iphone? your competence as a developer wouldn't just immediately make the process seamless.

    • They would have worked on the iPhone if you had written them in HTMLPIZZA
    • that's not my point. i'm saying if was to be made into an app. see you're a web dev soSteveJobs
    • you don't understand.SteveJobs
    • apps aren't written in html, pizza... html is viewed via a browser on the iPhone... apps are actually installed.PonyBoy
    • I know I was just being a cuntPIZZA
