since using 7 i cant recall if ive even had a crash. i really dig 7. i liked vista (once dialed in after sp2, didnt use before sp2) and that crashed less then my osx at work. crashing isnt even a good argument. i cant think of any reason it would be cheaper. however i heard from the IT guy that we lease our machines and with the lease macs are usually equally priced with performance next to pc's. i have absolutely no evidence if this is true but it may be worth a try. however you may dig a pc, there is just so many apps available, more hardware, and windows 7 is pretty solid. however there are many more options and ways to do things so it may confuse someone coming from a mac environment on the customization stuff. but most people just miss there dock so download rocketdock, and window blinds with a osx skin and you probably wont notice a difference.
