  @stewdio: 'standards compliant' has not made my life 'easier'. Not one of the current 'standards compliant' browsers behaves identically to another. As a result, testing and modification is required for each and every browser release, adding needless hacks and workarounds to ensure consistent presentation on all computers.

  give me one faulty browser over 8 'standards compliant' permutations anyday.
