Choosing a guitar is such a personal choice. No matter what people say here you gotta go with what feels good and sounds good to you.

I've had mine for about 8 or 9 years now and still play it all the time. It has a bolt-on neck, which may seem a little weird at first but it's really not a problem to get used to. It's a very, very bright sounding guitar so it's not for everyone but I love the tone. When I bought mine they retailed for around $350, but I know they've become more expensive since then.
The other awesome thing about Taylors is that they're made like 15 miles from my house.
