Presta for two good reasons:
the knurled nut that holds the valve to the rim. No jiggly valve when you're trying to inflate with a hand pump. Less chance of cutting the tube at the stem from friction.
the twist-lock on the valve is a bit of extra security over schraeder's spring only valve.
bonus points for a smaller valve hole (= stronger rim)
