Really looking to connect to the internet via the cable modem and use the 2nd ethernet port to connect to the network (this is 'hardwired' to the network and is much faster then connecting to the server through the internet)
My current solution is setting up 2 locations - basically have a fast internet/slow server connection using ethernet port 1 (with port 2 off) and a slow internet/fast server connection utilizing ethernet port 2...switching between the 2 depending on what i need to get done.
- Why would you do this? Makes no sense!duckofrubber
- i kno...haha trying to work on a ass backwards way to fast internet with fast LAN with minimal hassleestetic
