Reckomend a canon lens

    Just get a lens and take a ton of photos.... Getting used to a lens is more important than having the perfect lens.... Your skill with wide angle oddiites will improve too, wide angle lenses do give you perspective as well as barrel distortion, both correctible in Photoshop or dXO optics and various other software....

    The Sigma, Tokina, Tamron and Canon lenses above are all pretty good. If you don't like it, sell it on Ebay for a small loss, the loss is probably not much anyway...

    Don't become one of those freaks who spends 6 months reading and thinking about it all the time that their work will be unworthy if they have an unhip lens.... or something without the magic specifications that certain camera freaks called measurebators tend to geek out over....
