    if you've had a paycheque bounce or get clawed back from an account, it's a sign to move on. Generally a company will stiff every one of its creditors before its employees (their life blood). If it has gotten to the point that the well is so dry they cannot pay employees (on time), they're bankrupt. This is especially true when you consider that pretty much every business has a line of credit to draw on in order to smooth out the receivables.

    Give some thought to how much you have owing to you in total, and how you would manage without that money. Sometimes continuing a relationship is riskier than walking away. Personally I dallied and ended up stiffed for 3 paycheques + unused vacation. It was an expensive lesson.

    It's a rough time to look for a job for sure, but the way things are going it could be harder in the summer. Think about it. even a survival job with steady pay is better than no pay.
