Unless you can answer YES to one, if not both, of the following statements, you would be a complete moron to quit your job right now.

    a) The job I am leaving for has been guaranteed in a contract that has been signed in my new employer's blood.

    b) The new job is with a family member that I have something incredible to hold over his/her head that would involve major public humiliation, ridicule and possible jail time.

If you can't, then I'd really reconsider.

I just spoke with a client of mine at a major furniture company and starting tomorrow, they are going to be having a mandatory 2 Friday / month furlow. They are closing their doors to employees, unpaid of course. They also have a 10% pay cut.

    Rethink my disgruntled QBNer. ReThink.

    • umm, wouldn't the 10% pay cut be in direct result of the 2 friday furlow?lvl_13
    • The guy said he has another job. Also there are jobs out there - look at any job board and you will see.ukit
    • I've seen a lot of jobs posted for jobs that aren't available. Be careful. A lot of companies gather cv's in the case something opens, not because something is open.The_CCG
