I've got a ladder and a paint-roller but I'm not a professional house painter. Sure, I could probably tell people I was and they may even believe me, or better yet hire me. Some may see no difference between my work and that of a *read* professional house-painter, some will. For those that don't see the difference, better is of no value.
If people don't see the value in something, they won't pay more. There'll always be some kid with the same (or similar) tools as you who's willing to do the job on the cheap. It's like that in every industry.
Hey — maybe, just maybe graphic design has been over-valued recently.- especially dentistry. Teen dental hobbyists are ruining it for the rest of us!monNom
