listen, I know these articles are terrible, I don't want these things to happen either, but just remember, europeans,americans especially, are traditionally a very mixed population, who have have overcome cultural leverages through racism and wars -- all of this is in the past.
All the pakistanis, somalis, iraqis, etc who come from very uniform, underdeveloped and poorly educated islamic countries, have never lived together with people of different cultures, and do not have the same tolerance as we do.
I only have problems with 1st generation immigrants, who do not accept the order and way of life of their hosts. If they can behave themselves in the same way we do (and like all people of other religions can, the hindus, jews, buddhists -- never hear any trouble from them), they are more than welcome. So it doesnt have to do with anything else
