when you get yr hands on the 14-24 from nikkon, you'll know that the battlefield has changed. ridiculous lens. i am of the mind that from 14-400, i would rather use nikon lenses. 14-24, 24-70, 70-200, 200-400. All but the last are 2.8, sharp. The 14-24 has a built in lens hood, which does prevent filters, at the cost of taking industry changing optics. Srsly.
i can understand why you would think that. L lenses are really awesome when you get a good copy (way more often than not, sorry for the late answer capn_ron).
i need to save for a year, then we'll see if canon has released a replacement for the 5d. if not, i'll get the nikon d300 or perhaps there'll be a replacement shortly.
either way, i win. high fives!
- ...get a good copy, they are much, better than 3rd parties. One should hope with the money canon has.jaylarson
