to be fair, the S-Type is a nice car, but given the current state of motoring design and available power/luxury at a given price point; the Jaguar is WAY over priced, built upon a maintenance-heavy chassis and overall not readily tunable for anything under the cost of your first child.
that said, if you want the 'prestige' of owning Britain's, err...... check that- Germany's finest example of a price-inflated luxury sedan, go for it. There are a number of other options however new and used, that would tickle your fancy a bit more, IMO.
Oh, and if you are over say 5'10"...... LOL.
