really. haha, i bet you a lot of 'things' have gone down there :)
minneapolis is pretty great. i think i really only came to realize this after i moved away for a while.
it's got a great art/design scene. lots of good shows/acts come through. the city is small enough to get around quite easilly, and big enough t not get bored to quick. the population is diverse and for the most part 'minnesota nice' actually holds pretty true.
the winters can be brutal, but seemingly less each year (thumbs up for global warming? :) the rest of the seasons are great, especially fall. and honestly, i can put up with winter as long as there are the three other seasons (unlike so-cal where there is only one season, which get's boring).
i am thinking about moving again, but i'm sure no matter where i went, i would eventually be coming back to minneapolis to live my older years in.
plus, there are a lot of jobs opportunities here especially in design. and another plus, you can actually afford to buy a house here :)
