I started riding a fixed about a year ago, I think I fall into the ass clown category, but I don't have a tricked out bike like some of these ass clowns do. My friend who has been riding for years suggested I convert a bike and give fixed gear riding a try. It takes some getting to used to, and it is hard to explain, but the sense of control over the bike is different, heightened almost. I'm still a noob at this and have a front brake installed. But seriously all talk of trendy, sub-culture stuff aside, riding a fixed gear is fun.
