I think the reel, used to present web work is a fine idea. It streams in right away and didn't stop once on my cable connection. I've seen a few reels of web work, but this is by far the best I've seen. Congratulations, you know your animation. I think as you use it more, you will experiment with more of the filters and effects. Try to get some Final Effects/Digi Effects and look into those. (not that you needed it for this)
I'm warning you: After Effects is VERY addicting. Since, you're good at it, I'm sensing a new career direction. I love it too and will be learning Maya very soon. I want to do work like this all the time.
The only criticism I would make is that you show a lot of rollovers in the reel. I would only like to see a couple to get the feel of how the stie works and looks. After that, I would want to move on to the next segment/project.
