I would imagine that a faster processor with the other advantages of Mac hardware: faster bus, front side, blah blah, etc.
Current software shouldn't be slower with the new chips, so it's not like you HAVE to wait.
Obviously, they were NEVER going to get a G5 in a powerbook.
Why the current Powerbooks aren't considered 2 years behind current standards for performance is beyond me.
I have a 1 gHz 17" Powerbook, which was the shit in April 2003. It's hardly slower than the current 17" at 1.6 mHz.
