I know the feeling. I lived in maui after surfing and wavesailing for 15 years. Lost the urge when I returned to the cold water. Plus I went back to school.
My wife, who lived in vail for 4 years, straight up refused to ride tahoe. I like the steeps the the sierras have to offer but I'm really looking forward to riding the powder here. Sorta a new lease on life.
