it's a subtle thing, but i find it helps keep things organized a bit.. maybe im neurotic. By default, undocked items will always open on the right, so you can keep your 'always open' stuff organized on the left.

i'll have some feedback for you in the dev group soon, when I can focus on it and provide something worth while. Just downloaded ver 0.72

Thanks lodef, i think it helps the essence better too.
The gun has gone under some improvements but there will definitely be more.. Im thinking there will be selectable gun types, and there will be 'powerups' for the gun while you play.. so you start with a basic 1 shooter, but fund powerups that boost it while you play, like 1942, etc.
I totally know what you're saying about the map.. i really wanted the map to feel like an achievement tho. I know 1000 seems like a lot but honestly, if you can get to the first boss 3-4 times, and then die immediately after killing him, you'd have 1000 coins easy. Once I have the first gun upgrade I can do a run of just killing things mostly and end up with 500 coins in even a basic session. Plus I say first boss, but you kill the second boss and you get 250 coins just from him alone. Also there are diamonds hidden in asteroids -- 1 in 333 chance they appear, but even that is a huge boost if you're down by 250. I truly think by the time you care enough about getting the map, you will be able to get it within, say, a half hour to an hour of 'grinding' but the grinding is really just playing the game a couple times until you die.
Its funny cuz i was thinking of INCREASING the cost of stuff haha. :) now i will think much deeper on it. ;)
I think once everything is complete, the final stage before it's released will be to look at everything from a big picture standpoint and make sure everything is balanced and optimized to give the most fun so it never feels like a chore.. If that means dropping the price on shit, I can guarantee I'll make that call.
Thanks for the feedback homie, as always it means so much to me.

Either I'm getting better, or the game is, or both! (mostly the game I think) but it's more fun every time I play
I know picking the name is a chore in itself, and I like the name, but I have to wonder if it identifies with the widest target demographic. You don't want people reluctant to try a game based on phonetic fluidity issues. It puts the chore in Comsochoria. Your market may be different than what I envision though.
If this turns up in the app stores, people might get hooked! I'll have to play some more and get back to you on that...

nice job man! not sure about you but I wasn't expecting it to be greenlit so soon especially before the kickstarter was even finished. take a deep breath and make it as good as it can be now.

The Wii U Stretch goal has been officially reached. Things are rolling, pals. Still 30 some hours to go!
- mantrakid0
sweet - it has a shitty bug that makes the teleporter not work when you continue after game over, but the teleporter is wack right now anyway. The version im working on right now will have much more going on if you want to hold off. I should have it up later today.

"Cosmochoria translates the feeling of scale in a very particular, sensory way.... Even from this early stage, one of the most enjoyable portions of the game is simply the relaxing nature of loneliness."

fuck me man, good bloody job! it must be such a great feeling!!
so happy for you dude! i've enjoyed playing it in its many forms...
looking forward to the final version.

Well pals, here is build 82... probably the biggest notable upgrade in a while.. it fixed a LOT of bugs... hopefully it didnt introduce too many more. There are a bunch of new features, i don't even know where to begin, i honestly just stopped keeping track. :P
The biggest gameplay difference you will notice is that there are more than one weapon. Im still tweaking the other weapons (shotgun & laser (sniper) rifle) so they are currently disabled. So right now, you can only access the first gun upgrade. Once you get the first gun upgrade, you will be able to collect "Powerups" in the game by killing 'shiny' ufos.. basically flashing ufos that drop red balls (proper graphic to come). Collecting the Power-Ups will upgrade your gun in-game, so technically you can get level 1-4 of the main gun while playing a single session.
There's also a red 'test' tower that can be built with 10 seeds... you must have 11 seeds for it to be available (since you'd need 1 seed to continue planting). Right now it just does the same thing as the pyramid, but im toying with ideas for what this special tower can do... something that really leverages having lots of seeds in the later stages of the game.
There are "artifacts" but i still dont have the art done for them. They also dont currently do anything yet... that's coming soon.
Let me know what you think - if you come across any bugs, etc etc. Any help you can give is hugely appreciated!
Overall, I hope you have fun! Please let me know if you dont, and try to think of why, especially by comparing to past versions... Im really hoping things are improving, not regressing. :)
Without further ado:

Can you explain how the WiiU dev works? I just did a quick search about indie games on Wii, is this basically what you are doing here...
https://wiiu-developers.nintendo…
?
I always figured nintendo had a rigorous process to be accepted.
- i didn't think they even considered indie games, i guess things have changedlodef

anyone interested there's a 33% sale on construct
- what are you using for this game mantrakid?lodef
- Construct 2! :) Its a good prog but to be honest, im hitting some walls. I wish i was this deep in Unity already..mantrakid
- I'm neck-deep in unity. Balls-deep actually.cannonball1978
- sick, whats the learning curve (ermagherd) like?mantrakid
- You want to have a working knowledge of c# otherwise it frustrates you to not know how to do things and you give up on ideascannonball1978
- some good ideas. If you keep within the bounds of the program though you can put out some interesting things.cannonball1978
- You'll also want an external 3d editor to produce assets (I'm using Blender)cannonball1978
