"As a Mac user, please tell me what other features make this better other than the whole tile thin."
There are serious under the hood security improvements, that's the main thing it has going for it.

I've been using the beta for ages, everything seems to run fine on it - Games, Adobe Suite, etc.
Ignoring RT for now, waiting for Surface Pro pricing.

Oh actually, if you have a multi-monitor setup, I would say that'd be useful for designers because app management between screens is much improved.

I've been using RTM for a while. It works just fine. Is it worth the upgrade for a designer/developer?
I would argue that there's nothing that specifically makes it worth it but it's nice.
I haven't had any issues with lightroom or photoshop.

@ArmandoEstrada not sure about better, except to see if it's faster...
Question, did you have any compatablity issues with recent Adobe Suite apps? or any other apps?
- Only use OSX I use windows for testing. Just curious whats new aside from tiles.ArmandoEstrada

I have the beta running. Besides the tile screen home thing, looks just like other versions of windows. Not saying its a bad thing, but the whole tile things feels like gimmick. Moving from the tiles to the desktop feels like two different OS'es.
As a Mac user, please tell me what other features make this better other than the whole tile thin.

It's not bad, start menu is gone (it might take getting used to along with moving your mouse to the corner of the screen to see the metro interface, it didn't bother me), I'm testing CS6 also, I personally think it runs way better than windows 7.
You can download and use their RTM copy directly from MS, it expires after 90 days. You can download the Office 2013 preview as well. Task Manager has been nicely redone, quick reboots and shutdowns along with start ups. This is from a 5 year old Intel dual core by the way.
The Office ribbon interface is now part of windows explorer, more applications to connect to the internet life, windows app store
If you install and keep Chrome as your default browser, for some strange reason you can only use the IE desktop version not the Windows Metro Version
Not a bad release if you ask me.
