This is looking bad. Probably the only thing with Apple, except for Final Cut X, that is legitimately worth me complaining about.

Time to switch to Android and feel what magic really feels like ;)
- android seems like a free icons site to meprophetone

^ Nope they don't claim sanctity and end up producing drivel.
"When you think about your iPhone, it’s probably the object that you use most in your life. It’s the product that you have with you all the time. With this unique relationship people have with their iPhone, we take changing it really seriously. We don’t to just want to make a new phone. We want to make a much better phone. iPhone 5 is the result of this approach."Holla @ yo' boi nagga!

I didn't order an iPhone 5, I don't really care to have one, but there's no way I'm upgrading my 4 to iOS until they fix this shit, especially the public transport thing. Yeah, I have other apps for that, but having it all in one place is better, obviously.
What I want to say, though, is that to all you guys jumping on the Maps feature saying it's shit and pointing and laughing at Apple for their mis-step and claiming "fail" and "Android is win" need to chill the fuck out. Apple is going to fix all the issues with Maps, obviously. They won't just sit back doing nothing and take thousands of complaints; they'll take their billions and buy technologies to integrate and pay employees to fix it quick snap. So...yeah...

What an epic fail. Jobs would NEVER have allowed this piece of shit to be released.

This is officially the beginning of downfall of Apple.
- wow I butchered that sentencemonolith
- see my comment above, it's hardly the end... it's a fucking MAPS app ffsmonospaced
- maps is one of the most important apps on the phone. But their whole lack of innovation, services that don't work properly show that their days are over.monolith
- work properly show that their days are over.monolith
- and they'll fix them and everything will be fine. jesus christ you're so goddamn dramatic, can't wait to see apple fall?monospaced
- yeah, if you could fix maps that easily everyone would be making them. There's no easy fix.monolith
- Apple has the resources to fix it, trust me. If Google can, they can too. So narrow-minded.monospaced
- yeah.. maybe in 2 years after people actually use it and they get data.. You do realize that Google has been working on their maps for a decade. That's why they are so good.monolith
- their maps for a decade. That's why they are so good.monolith
- yes, and what makes you think Apple hasn't been working on this for years too?monospaced
- because they bought companies a year or two ago and we see results, it sucks ass.monolith
- I checked it out, it's a gorgeous design and it will improve rapidly, I can pretty much guarantee itmonospaced
- Google has 10 years doing it, how many years will it take Apple?ernexbcn
- Actually fuck it, my iPhone is in the bin and I've just bought a box of OS maps.Ianbolton

You've got to admit all phones have reached a stage of mediocrity. They all do pretty much the same thing, somethings are shit, somethings are great. It's good they wanna try their own Maps app, but they can only make it better by releasing it and sorting out the bugs that get reported. It's been out, what, 3 days?
"All roads lead to the same place!"
- eh? I wouldn't want to work with you - "ah fuck it we will see what people say" lolfadein11
- mediocrity? Have you seen the new LG Optimus and Galaxy S3?monolith
- they'll improve it with more input data and improvement suggestions, obviouslymonospaced
- They all do pretty much the same thing though. Apple just made life exciting by getting you lost more oftenIanbolton
- fadein110
^ sorry but that is utter nonsense
- nonsense that Apple will improve Maps? c'mon, of course they willmonospaced
- yeah, How is it nonsense? No counter-argument, just a lame statement?Ianbolton
- nonsense because you obviously haven't used a good android phone or heard of user testingfadein11
- i actually own an Android phone and it's alright. Isn't this the user testing stage now?Ianbolton

Come on!
its been just 24hours since iOS is available and people are already saying "time to switch to Android" or "the fall of Apple has begin" ... I mean, come on! They will update Maps in the next weeks/months... In the meantime you can add Google Map webApp to your home screen easily and it works perfectly like the old App. And maybe Google will release an app for the appStore.Just all calm the fuk down.
- NOO!!! WE WILL BURN CITIES, PEOPLE WILL DIE!!! hehe, people need to fuckin chill...ESKEMA
- exactly, EXACTLY what I was saying up theremonospaced
- lowimpakt0
the mad ass response to the map fail is proportional to the mad ass drivel apple talk during new product launches.

This is not the start of the decline of Apple... it will still fly out of the shops to people with little knowledge of whats out there or are so brand loyal they are blind to alternatives.
Anyway - its only a phone.
All I hate about Apple is their irritating and patronising tone of voice.
- i_was0
The decline of Apple has started in paris, france. and i'm proud!
- instrmntl0
This conversation is getting steered in the wrong direction. Their new map sucks, and it will improve, there's no doubt about that. The issue is the fact that they removed a far superior product in order to selfishly advance their own interests, similar to what they did with Flash.
- monospaced0
^ Damn Apple for selfishly making a business decision that makes them money.
- At the expense of their consumers. It's a bad sign.instrmntl
