"I should tell my story. I'm also unemployed." —Mitt Romney, speaking in 2011 to unemployed people in Florida. Romney's net worth is over $200 million.

The most amazing thing to me about Romney is how he looks for his age. If I could look like that when Im in my 60s Ill take that any day.
As far as being the leader of the free world? Na I'll pass on that. Let him go back to the corporate world where he thrived. That doesn't mean he's fit to lead a nation. Seems like the only reason he's getting the nomination is because of the all the other clowns he was up against.
Seriously, one of them was accused of rape or whatever by multiple women, Newt is just an ass, Santorum is a stick up the ass conservative that did nothing but attack all the others. Romney didnt exactly have any real competition with those bums. But sorry, I think Obama is the right guy for the job at this time. After his next term is up he'll hand his work off to the next man and hopefully they will continue pushing this forward.

What's curious and also frightening to me is the fact that the Republican establishment has no confidence in Romney. We constantly hear people like Grover Norquist saying things like,
“All we have to do is replace Obama. ... We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don’t need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go.... We just need a president to sign this stuff....Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States.... His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared.”

People say the following:
"People change."
and
"People never change."As far as Romney is concerned, I don't believe that a person who existed as an employee/business leader to eliminate American jobs for the sake of corporations making more money through cheaper offshore labor, can change. Greed is his lifeblood. He has ZERO ability to understand the common man. He worked to fire the common man. I don't believe he has the capacity to do a 180 and realize the harm he did, and the harm that continues for our country to offshore jobs simply to make more money. I know it's more complex than that in some ways. But if the people who would vote for him can't see that, they are blind and they are going to make a bad choice. A person like Romney doesn't care about regular people because he doesn't know regular people. His existence has nothing to do with them.

Don't fool yourself, Romney could easily win.
The reason is that while more people in actual numbers support Obama, many of them are kind of meh in their support. The people who support Romney on the other hand, don't really like him at all, but they are completely filled with hate towards Obama.
Read the comments on any conservative site or any article linked by the Drudge Report and you will see what I mean. These are the same people who voted for Bush and they have been hearing for four years how Obama is a black Muslim communist who is destroying America. A lot of it is misinformed hate, but it gets people to the polls. Kind of like in 2010 when the conservatives took over Congress.

ukit2,
That's exactly what I was trying to get at. Many of these are ill informed, politically unaware, poor, lower class, unintelligent... bigots and racists. Always interesting to me is that many of these people are the ones who benefit most from government programs that will at least try and provide them the opportunity to get back on their feet. Or, they are programs that just allow them to sit around like worthless oafs, living off the government, abusing the system. And, ironically, these people are for republicans that want to eliminate such programs, especially now, as they try to paint anything that attempts to help people as socialist policy. They just want the black man out of the White House.

He is a very successful corporate leader and CEO and generated huge wealth because of that. He wants to get the biggest 'CEO' Job in the world. And then run America as a business.
A lot of people with power, money and influence see this as a great idea.
Will be interesting to see.
