    From ABC:
    http://www.abcactionnews.com/dpp…

"SANFORD, Fla. - A lead investigator into the shooting of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin wanted to charge neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman with manslaughter, according to a report from ABC News.

The news agency said they confirmed the information from 'multiple sources.'

The state attorney's office, headed by Norman Wolfinger, told investigator Chris Serino that there was not enough evidence to press charges.

Serino filed an affidavit on Feb. 26, the night Martin was shot and killed by Zimmerman, saying he did not believe Zimmerman's version of events."

    • I heard this on the news tonight. It's believed there was witness tampering also.Josev

Reports suggests that Trayvon was at his Dad's girlfriend's house in Twin Lakes watching the NBA game. During the break, Trayvon runs to get a bag of Skittles. [source: wiki] However on Feb 26 at 7pm the day Trayvon was shot, the Western/ East All Star Game wasn't scheduled to start til 7:30pm.

Now there is a mall about a mile away. At 7pm on a dark and rainy night, in a neighborhood that rates 3 out of 100 (100 being the safest) Trayvon chose to go to the 7-eleven. The closest 7-Eleven is two miles away from Twin Lakes. [source: googlemaps]

    • well, clearly he planned to rob the 7-11, stake out some houses, and sell crack to some kids on his way back. Glad we know now.monkeyshine
    • know the truth now.monkeyshine

    • If you look at the distance on the Google map you'll see that the 7-11 is closer than the mall. It's also possible that the mall was closed at that time.Josev
    • was closed at that time.

    • you're right.. the mall closed at 6pm. 2 mile round trip would have placed him back at 7pm...omg

and speaking of the media, the photo of Trayvon supposedly flipping the bird is not him (as sherm posted earlier) and was spread by Michele Malkin's website:

"Yesterday a right-leaning website called Twitchy ran a picture of George Zimmerman in a suit and tie next to what they claimed was a picture of Trayvon Martin with no shirt and sagging pants. Twitchy is owned and operated by Michelle Malkin, a conservative pundit who is a frequent guest on Fox News. The picture of Zimmerman was real, but the picture of Martin was not. After Eric Boehlert, senior fellow at the left-leaning organization Media Matters, tweeted a screenshot of the article Twitchy posted the following correction:

“Correction, 8:56 pm ET March 25, 2012: We made a mistake. The photo on the right is not of the Trayvon Martin who was shot by Zimmerman. We apologize to our readers and to the Martin family.”

Some good points on the daily beast:
    http://www.thedailybeast.com/art…

“They didn’t even bother to put yellow tape around the murder scene when he died,” Rev. Jackson, who has been counseling Martin’s parents, told The Daily Beast. “That’s how much the police did to find out what happened to this young boy. But now we hear about his school record and everything else he may have done. It’s a classic case of putting the victim on trial. They drug-test the boy—but not the man who shot and killed him. George Zimmerman has a police record. Trayvon does not. So why are we putting Trayvon on trial? There is no violence in his background.”

I love that wagist story posted above -- asking if he was a drug dealer and pointing to evidence such as tattoos (one was his mother's name), and his twitter account and twitpics. Click through and you'll see photos of scooby doo candy, new tennis shoes, pics of his tattoo and two girls. QBN must be full of drug dealers based on those identifying behaviors.

The things I did in my life...
    The things I still do.
The drugs I took and the drugs I take, the drug business, getting banned from school, having fights, throwing things at teachers, throw stones at the police, in my time it was all normal.
Damn! I'm almost 40 and still wearing hoodies and baggy trousers.
    My self made jail tattoos...
Great that here in Amsterdam you can buy and weed without getting shot.
I will die, one day, but I never deserved to be shot as far as I'm concerned.

Skittles cost 1,50€ in De Sterk, because they come from America.
They would be fucking tastier if they came from South America.

The kid is dead. Whatever people say about him, he's fucking dead. Some people don't even stop to think what that means.
There's this asshole over here that insists in facts that are absurd.
Bush deserved to die, people have guns and didn't kill him.
    Guns, what the fuck?!
So much knowledge and we still use guns...
Only who lives in fear uses guns.

Americans (of the US of Fucking A), seriously, you need to use your greatness for something great.

This arguments about the kid's real personality, like he deserved to die, please your are attempting against my fucking intelligence.
The arguments in favor of the alleged watchman, please, seriously shut the fuck up.

QBN, this is a serious matter I know, but if you would have the minus button, I would visit all my friends and press it until this thread was gone.

    Trayvon, RIP.

Simple as that, there's a family suffering.

Zimmerman, Dylan, Ese, whatever your nombre is, I hope you RIP soon too, natural causes.
    Why?!
Because no one has the right to take somebody else's life.
People who build, sell and use guns should die this night.

QBN end this thread, it's more disturbing than spam.

And if you think this doesn't make sense, well US of A doesn't make sense at all.

    Peace...out!

    1. Follow someone after being instructed not to.
    2. Get into a fist fight.
    3. Get own ass kicked, badly.
    4. Pull out a gun I had all along and kill the other person.
    5. Claim it was "self-defense".

zimmerman is the son of a retired judge and has been arrested for domestic violence and resisting arrest twice (once with violence toward a police officer). all three prior arrests were cleared.

but really, let's blame the black kid for getting shot because he wore a sweatshirt and potentially had smoked pot at some point in the past month.

    • is this a reason that they can't both be at fault?cotton
    • yes, because even if zimmerman's self defense claim was true, it was because he didn't listen to the police and instigated it.colin_s

  • randommail0

IMO, Zimmerman can't be protected by the Stand Your Ground law.
Trayvon left the scene. Zimmerman PURSUED him! (against police dispatch's warning no less).

In this case, didn't Zimmerman encroach on Trayvon's ground?

    • +1billionsherm
    • bush already officially said that law is not applicable in his caseprophetone
  • ukit20

You're confusing "Stand Your Ground" with "Protect Your Castle."

  • randommail0

Seriously, the Stand Your Ground law can't really apply to public spaces, can it? If an intruder breaks into you house, I understand defending yourself with lethal force, even if the intruder is unarmed.

But in public open spaces, where you're not confined nor trapped?

    • are there not examples of one being confined or finding yourself trapped in the billions of public spaces?prophetone
    • The point of stand your ground was bringing self defence law outside your home, was it not?ETM

This whole armed citizens taking the law into their own hands business is fucking retarded. I have known a number of goofs that were auxiliary police officers. There was always a reason why these shitheels weren't actually cops. One person I knew used to wear handcuffs on the back belt loops of his pants all the time. Most often the only time these people were ever used was during parades and other community events when the actual cops needed more of a presence. He was a pussy that thought that impersonating a cop got him respect and made him tough. These are the types of people that do these neighborhood patrols in many cases. Gung ho dickheads.

This grown man can't subdue a 140 pound 6 foot tall teenager without a pistol? He belongs behind bars, he is a fucking menace more than some kid with a bag of skittles ever would be.

  • futuremongolian0

The problem with these events is that when they reach a certain velocity, the facts become irrelevant.

This killing got attention because it was a story of a white man hunting down and murdering an unarmed black boy, aggravated by the fact that the police didn't lay any charges.

Now we know Zimmerman isn't really "white". And the news today tells us that a witness saw Zimmerman being beaten. Also, when the police interviewed Zimmerman he was bleeding, which supports the witness's account.

But if indeed, any of this is true, will it matter?

    • he said "fucking coons" and followed the kid after being told by police not to. that matters.colin_s
    • yes, but if the witness's account is correct, then he was being viciously attacked and was defending himself.futuremongolian
    • He should have used his fists against some string bean teenager. The kid weighed 140. The guy weighed 225-250.DrBombay
    • lots more. Take him down in the street with your hands, tough guy.DrBombay
  • 20020

If the Trayvon ended up killing Zimmerman as he smashed his head in to the ground, the same law would supposedly apply.

    • it would actually make sense since Zimmerman was armed with deadly forcesherm
