My son had hyperspadia when born - its where the hole for his urine was down at the side of the penis. So we had it fixed when he was 18 months and was told by the consultant that a circumcision at the same time would mean better healing. Seems to be ok now and he walked ok after the operation.

I had lunch with a couple Hispanic girls from work a few months ago. One asked if she was going to have her boy circumcised and she didn't even think twice about saying yes. I'd told them both that was an awful thing to do and they should reconsider. Asked why and they tried to say hygiene which I easily explained wasn't a real issue, but then they said it affects the size.
