I'm not a troll, Boz, I just enjoy smirking at the constant unthinking vapidity you insist on sharing in this public space.
I think I, and other long-timers here, recall your equally dogmatic stance on supermacy of HDVDs or whatever they were called.
Truth is, most people here are smart enough to encourage positive developments (HTML5) and ride with the fluidity of the situation... we don't all get up on our consumer soap boxes, loudly beating cro-magnon chests about someone corporation's bottom line.
In my mind, you come across as more of a trolling Brand fanboy (Adobe & Android and whatever other crap you've bought in to the belief system of in your remorseless consumer lifestyle) than any of the Apple-toting kids around here.
Anyway, I await the next installment of pictures from Boz's MasturbatoryTechnoDungeon with a relish bordering on pickle.

- will you stop referring yourself as QBN .. jesus fucking christ. you have issues. You live in this world where you think everyone agrees with you on QBN.. Are you nuts?Boz

I quite enjoy Boz's posts to be fair and wish I hadn't missed this exchange.
His flash stuff is always interesting.
And lets face it there are a lot of Apple fanboys around here - makes me cringe.

Boz doesn't want to "ride with the fluidity of the situation", Flash and Android news make his heart skip a beat because they give him a hope that:
a. Flash will be available and usable on mobile devices
b. Android will dominate mobile market
c. Boz's Flash skills will not be obsolete
d. Profit.Boz gets emotional because—unlike the Apple fanboys he refers to—he's really personally invested and his world began to crash with the advent of fashless iPhones and such. It's about his livelihood. Let's cut the Big Boz some slack here and let him rant m-kay?
- then it's good that I know Objective-C, Java, HTML5/JS and PHP as well right?Boz
- i have failed as a human being, reading the words 'heart skipped a beat' reminded me of The XX.set
- Objective-C, Java, HTML5/JS and PHP! No wonder Boz always tops L.A.'s top bachelors lists.raf
- Sweet jesus, I dying over here!ian

I think it is nice to something else in the public voice.
as if the pv isn't littered with apple related discussions of the past. and unlike many apple fanboy conversations i have had in the past, Boz does know his shit and puts some effort into his position.also i'd honestly like to get into a technical discussion on android/ apple mobile relevance.

the posts about android are not the issue, I enjoy post about android too, a lot actually. What I don't like is finishing any topic about android or flash by saying Apple will die soon, Flash wiil rule, etc... Why can't he just talk about android and don't envolve Apple is beyond me. He's the one always pulling Apple into discussions. I don't realy give a fuck about either, but his assumptions are really tiring, and if anybody says anything on the opposite, he writes an essay about it invoking more bullshit. It's annoying.

I have an android now, prob have an iphone someday but right now I would rather not get locked into a att/verizon chokehold when the key attributes of the phone are available in the itouch with no contract. It would be nice to have my whole deal synced up all sweet like but not for 100 bucks a month when I can have an iphone called an android for 50 bucks a month. Thats 600 bucks a year.

Just played around with HTC HD7 with WinPhone7. Quite good first experience. I've compared it with HTC Desire with Android and if I had to choose one of them, I would go for WP7. If Nokia and other phone makers will make decent WP7 devices, I don't see Android having 50% of the market share.

But seriously Boz, if you start a tech blog with opinionated analyses and merciless device tests you are going to get a gigantic cult following in no time!

Microsoft gets paid for every Android phone that ships because it claims its patents are being infringed. It's cheaper to pay than to fight the claims in court, apparently:

patent trolls will always be there and Microsoft and Apple are 2 top ones. Unfortunately that's the reality and why these guys are truly bad for progress and innovation. Microsoft owns a shit load of patents. About 25,000 of them. I think HTC pays Microsoft $3 for each Android phone. What's ironic is that Microsoft makes more money from Android than WP7. Says a lot of about their "innovation".
Wait till you see how awesome it's gonna be since Apple, Microsoft, RIM and a few others ganged up to buy Nortel patents just so they can patent troll harder.
When you can't innovate try to milk money from patents you bought. Either way it's irrelevant to anyone. Until patent system changes this sabotaging and dirty tactics to try to fight competition is here to stay.

Dear Fandroid,
Nobody cares. Owning % of phones is useless when people don't buy things on those phones, or in many cases use any of the advanced features at all.
Developing for android is a joke. Screen size variation, the absurd way it handles orientation changes. Awful.
Selling for android is a joke. I had a client, multi-billion $ company that couldn't stop some asshole in Russia from framing their standard mobile site into a app and putting an ad below it. That same asshole advertised it as the official app. Took months to resolve.
It all comes down to a quality vs quantity issue. Apple customers are $$$$ to developers, content creators etc. Android is practically worthless in comparison. The android software library is like those 10$ shareware CDs they used to sell at Compusa. At some point they need to have something beyond angry birds.
And the hardware...... a joke. When it's Apple vs the world they even of course know that in pure "installs" they cannot hold a lead with a proprietary system vs giveaway garbage. But one iphone customer is worth 20-30 android customers. And I think that's being conservative.

And honestly, though it still lacks many features and a great browser, I think WP7 is a better interface. More importantly it's original. Google needs to stop biting Apple and create something of their own.
And MS needs to give in and just put a webkit browser on WP7.
- Google biting Apple? 80% of new features in iOS5 are rips directly from Android dumbass.Boz
- lol, very true indeedfyoucher1
- Notifications, sure. Other stuff is typical. OAS etc. Go back to angry birds, it's all you got.antagonista
