    I agree with you antagonist.

W8 looks interesting. I hope it is as usable as it seems.

    In other news..HTC abandoning WP7

    http://communities-dominate.blog…

I would definitely love to have Android and WP7 or W8 version for phones and tablets to choose from. Both will be available on many devices and our laptops and desktops etc..

Why iOS and Apple needs to be put in irrelevant marketshare is because MS even through proprietary licenses out their mobile OS and platforms.. and is really a good competition.

Android has matured so much that it's really one kick butt smooth, fast, awesome OS. Not to mention that you can do whatever the hell you want with it because it's open. No restrictions.

I would definitely like to see Android running first, WP7/W8 as a close second as it is the only real eco-system that's ok for consumers as far as hardware choices go and it will most definitely work great with the rest of our computing lifestyle and then whatever is left to let Apple and RIM play with.. They really don't deserve more than 15% market-share together with the inferior product and non-existant choices.

    Hey Boz? You mad? hahahahaha.

I just checked out your website. It all makes sense now. You remind me of one of those camera club clowns that passionately argues how much better Canon is than Nikon, or vice versa, while taking horrible photos with any camera.

I just wonder why such a clueless tard would hang out on a design message board and endlessly stroke a horribly designed product.

You obviously know little to nothing about design, particularly UI design and mobile business models. But again, you're obviously not in the business, obviously not creating things for these devices. Android is an afterthought. People develop the iOS app and then shovel-ware it to android if they even bother to port it at all.

The clunky, inconsistent nature of the droid OS, the absurd market fragmentation between different versions on different devices with an array of different stick-on skins make for a disastrous user experience that only suits clueless derelicts and apple haters.

What do you do on your droid? configure it all day? The apps sucks, 99% of them. Once you get past the google apps it's a wasteland. The hardware is a joke. How's that 2 hour evo battery life work out for you.

We have a test lab at work with about a dozen of the latest phones. I usually pop my sim card into a different one every week or so and use it as my primary phone. The droids are terrible, every one of them. The new generation windows stuff shows promise, but it's way too early - and they are so much chasing the app model. If google seeks to be the default OS on shitty phones that people exercise no purchasing power on, have at it. That just makes those of us using good devices have a huge advantage in the real world. Not that we needed it in your case.

Samsung Galaxy sII - A better clone of the iPhone

After 3 years of creating horrible phones, Android finally sees some light. 1 phone out of 30 phones might not suck. It sports the same exact features as the iPhone (except it has two extra buttons!) But side by side, you can't tell the iPhone 3GS from a Galaxy. It's surely to be a hit. Everyone who has an Android now, better get ready to buy this new device. You thought you got that phone cheap, now you'll have to pay twice as much or...

...get the iPhone5 (to be released in Sept) which will be slimmer, faster with better display resolution, two cameras, double the storage and will use the latest iOS5 offering the best connectivity and apps between your other iDevices and is a better designed product hands down.

I don't think you can convince anyone anymore to get that stale piece of shit called iPhone.. even if it has 5 number.

People saw that Apple is a one trick pony. They are ripping everyone off with features and functionality and suing the whole industry hahaha..

I love it when Eric Schmidt and HTC CEO basically told Steve Jobs to fuck off.. Samsung too.

"Hey Stevo, STFU and compete with innovation and quality not with lawsuits" LOL..

Ironic, especially since there isn't an original part in any of the Apple hardware, especially iPhone. Manufactured by Samsung, using Google's services and put together in Foxconn.

And than they talk about originality LOL..

    Simply mind bottling

  • omg0

When you want to talk about good design, the iPhone 5 has it, there's no argument there. The iPhone has been delivering for years non-stop for the past decade, and I do not see any "one-trick pony" anywhere.

As far as Steve Jobs, Mike Schmidt and Peter Chou (HTC). It sounds a bit unprofessional for them to be using such vulgar language at each other. I would expect more from the Android crew, to not act like childish kids, especially when they have some good iPhone clones with extra features coming down the shoot. They're about to lead the world in having sold the most and worst smart phones to dumb people in 2012.

Beautiful beautiful phone that looks NOTHING like iOS.. it's absolutely 100% Android .. TouchWiz is too cheesy so Cyanogen firmware fixes that but god that phone is what iPhone 5 can only dream to be.

The packaging is actually pretty simple.. Nothing like Apple's.

    • It's not the same, but to say it's "nothing like iOS" is just idiotic. There are some obvious similarities.Nathan_Adams
    • Packaging, UI, display, physical size, weight, etc... a lot like the iPhone...utopian

  • akrok0

they could sell that samsung galaxy SII in those fake apple stores.
i give yooooou, best price. 50 cent off!

  • Boz0

I have iPhone 4 and iPhone 3G and packaging is not the same..not even close. The only resemblance really is in bubbly icons that look worse on Galaxy but are far from same.. Galaxy S2 is much bigger screen , it's thinner and lighter and has removable batteries and so on and on. Yes, they obviously went with the whole glossy icon thing but that's hardly copy-cat..

The only thing this is an issue is because Samsung Galaxy S2 is a very high polished quality phone. It has similar shape as iPhone but that's hardly copying anything. Laptops and other phones all have similar shapes and form factors. It's beyond stupid to claim the phone is going to be confused with iPhone.. No freakin' way.

The screenshots and the basis of the lawsuit are hilarious because they try to montage the specific part of the Android with those icons to look like they are the same as iPhone.. well here's common sense for ya. Apple didn't invent swiping left and right or up and down with a ton of icons on the screen.

Eventually this whole case will be dismissed because it's a joke.

    • the interface is identical. can't you see that? you hate apple so much that it blinds you on binteliboy
    • not at all. I think Apple fanboys are all up in arms because they can't face the fact that Android phones are outmatching the quality and polish of Apple products. Galaxy S2 is Android through and through with the only difference when you go into apps the icons don't scroll up and down but left and right.. Icons are glossy, obviously influenced by Apple but have absolutely no visual similarity..they are QUITE different both in colors and appearance.Boz
    • the quality and polish of Apple products and Apple is now suing because they are in deep doo doo.
