I just don't understand how a leader of the underworld would develop a poncy, echoing British accent underneath that mask. It's nonsensical. I know what GeorgesII is saying, but whatever a villain like Bane is meant to sound like, it's not like that.
I think it was within the first five minutes of Bane being on camera that I was just... surprised/disappointed/appalled... by this heavily dubbed audio. It kind of ruined the whole rest of the film for me; I couldn't get its ridiculousness out of my head. I did just look at one YouTube clip about Bane's voice, and the comments are right down the middle. Each to their own, I guess.

JTB, his voice in the final film IS overdubbed. Download the original prologue from the torrent sites. That's the original voice. You can tell that it's his voice while shooting the scenes.
Then watch the movie again, or download a torrent of that too. Not only is the voice much louder and separate from everyone else on screen, but the entire delivery of the lines (and even some words from the prologue), are completely different.
In the prologue it's very difficult to pick up much of what he's saying, but he did sound much cooler. He sounds like an idiot in the final movie. The voice is much goofier in the final movie. Hardy definitely went in and rerecorded all of it.

Was a fun and intense movie.
spoilerz:
I wonder how much screen time batman really has out of 164 mins i would guess somewhere around 25.
This movie will probably not be as good when watched second time around, since alot of it depends on not knowing what's going to happen. Although this is how Nolan movies are.I see alot of people complaining about the script, "omg how does he get from mexico to gotham?" "how does he track catwoman?" "how does his leg magicly heal in mexico?" etc.. while this is true this is fucking BATMAN, cmon.
Dark knight has alot of these issues aswell just look at the beginning with the robbery. How does joker drive the bus from the bank wall to the street without noone on the street noticing. I mean surely the bus must of have blocked the way for other cars.

It's fun going back and reading the early comments about people trashing Anne as Catwoman, and it turns out she was completely awesome in Rises.

I like how Anne Hathaway was never referred as Catwoman. Every article in the news is saying "catwoman" except that, in the movie she was just Selina Kyle.
The slight cat-like reference were her googles when she had them over her head like a hairband.Small but thoughtful detail.

SPOILER
So do you think JGL/ John Blake becomes Batman? Or is he Robin? It was sort of a confusing message, on one hand the woman calls him Robin. At the same time, the final scene seemed like a play on the title, "The Dark Knight Rises" as he rises on the platform.

^ Neither. We aren't mean to know that. Robin's name in the comics isn't Robin. I think that was just a fun thing for the fans since Blake sort of did play Robin's role in the movie. Bruce talked about this in the car with Blake. He said that Batman could be anyone, the point of him is to be a symbol of hope for the people of Gotham and do what the police can't.
Bruce retired since he's no longer fit to protect the city and left it in capable hands when he gave the coordinates to the batcave for Blake to use. Blake is just that next guy that will protect the city. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll be Batman specifically. He could end up as Nightwing for all we know.
And we dont even know if he'll actually be in another movie. It was just ended in that way to prove a point that the city will survive without Bruce. Who he becomes doesn't really matter. We may never find out and that's fine.
Warner may end up completely rebooting this with no connection to him or these movies, and the end of Rises will still make sense if that's what they did.

I guess its open to interpretation. But it seemed obvious the final shot was a reference to the title. You don't stick something in the script like that just for the hell of it. Therefore, I think Nolan is strongly suggesting JGL becomes the Dark Knight.

Well what I meant was that he may become the new batman, or decide to become nightwing, but that doesnt mean they have to continue this story with Blake as the new protector of Gotham.
If they just leave the ending the way it is and never make another movie based on this and do a separate reboot unrelated to this, that's fine. Nolan's point was that Batman is immortal and Bruce retired and left it in capable hands.
So if we never get a movie with Blake as Batman or Nightwing or Robin, it doesnt matter.

By the way the movie is up on the torrent sites now in English. Some cam versions floating around that are a little blurry but still watchable with good audio.
Some up on pirate bay. I watched it once then deleted. Ill just wait for the bluray now which will probably come out in December.

Everyone is loving this movie. I felt it was a real mess, was too long, the story drab and predictable, a chore to sit through, all the crucial emotional beats had no breathing space, character decisions and arcs not making much sense, henchmen were hilariously bad like from a ninja turtles movie, blah blah... Thing is it's all so expertly crafted the problems kind of wash over you, it's like Bale + Nolan + Zimmer score kind of force you to think "this is epic and amazing!"
