oh yeah, I'd agree with that about Ann Hathaway. I was expecting her (probably unfairly) to be the weak link in the film, but I thought she was really good. Without saying too much, the moment she meets Bruce Wayne and lets the act drop to reveal her character pretty much sets the tone for her and I wasn't worried from that point on.
But I must say a big thanks to Christopher Nolan (because I'm sure he is a QBN lurker) for having her straddle the Motorbike thing rather than putting her in a Bat-mobile.
THAT ASS!!!
- That wasnt Anne's ass on the bike. All stuntwoman.CygnusZero4

When I first heard about Dark Knight I thought it was an Eddy Murphy movie were he would go back in time to the fantasy world of Lancelot and he would be a never mentioned knight.
A legend even bigger and more mysterious than the one of Excalibur legend, the Dark Knight.- And his sword was bigger than Excalibur. Much bigger.oey

The audience clapped at the end .. Just short of a Standing O
The movie was ok.. But seriously who claps at the end of any movie?
Just thought it was a bit strange.- happens a lot at the theatres I attended in Santa Monica / Venicealbums
- happens alot in nyc too.
Never in ManchesterWeLoveNoise - happened for me too. don't understand it. Nolan wasn't there, I checked.vwsung18t
- Americans also clap plane landingsHAYZ1LLLA
- Happened here but not only at the end but also on important scenes, that's what happens when a group of comic geeks are thereernexbcn
- happened here in Toronto.
But to be fair the ending was pretty sweet.Al_dizzle

What I liked about the first two movies was that I wasn't reminded it was a comic book movie until Batman was on screen. The third one just felt like a comic book movie.
- Could be from them feeling the need to go BIG with the 3rd movie.CygnusZero4
- sad that nolan couldn't learn from spider-man 3vwsung18t

just saw it. overall i liked it but felt like the movie could do without or cut short several scenes in the middle and make the ending more interesting.

is there a special anything after the credits?

The mass shooting at a Colorado movie theater on Friday dented ticket sales for “The Dark Knight Rises,” but not by much. The film, which is the culmination of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, took in about $162 million in North America over the weekend.

For a reboot, which we all know will happen eventually in 5-10 years, I think they should ditch this realistic take on Batman that Nolan has. He's been shackled to his rule of not doing anything supernatural which keeps him from being able to use some of his cooler enemies.
I would like to see something a little more creative visually, not over the top like Batman Forever of course, but something very dark and gritty, like Sin City, but in color of course. Something with a little more style than Nolan's films.
Maybe even have Frank Miller and Robert Rodriquez do it. Why not? Frank wrote some Batman comics and is very in touch with the character and the world, and RR has a strong visual style and could do some kick ass dark Batman movie with tons of awesome stealth and detective elements.

DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE MOVIE, SKIM PAST IT.
--------
To tie it in with the end of Rises, bring Joseph Gordon Levit back as Robin/Nightwing. Bruce retired to leave him as the protector of Gotham and gave him the batcave, so that could be a nice little tie in to Nolan's movies.END HARDCORE SPOILERS
- For a new Batman, find a good young, large actor in maybe his mid-20s so that he wont be too old by the last film.CygnusZero4

If you've got some time on your hands, these guys give a good in depth review. This is from the guy that did those epic star wars prequel reviews which to me are some of the best reviews Ive ever seen. But this is more of just a regular review, aside from the stupid opening crap they do which I skipped past.

Surprised this isnt up on the torrent sites yet. Im wondering if this is because the theaters are so packed that it's too difficult to record it, unless you bring a bunch of friends with you and have them sit all around you.

Walked by a few NYC theaters this week. Every single one playing this movie had two armed police standing outside.
- They must have known you were comingWeLoveNoise
